Shirley Schultz, 87, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2025 at 12:58 PM. Born on March 22, 1937, in Springfield, Massachusetts, she spent her later years in Asheville, North Carolina, at the Deerfield Episcopal Retirement Community.
Shirley had a passion for exploring the world, a love of classical music, and a green thumb that brought life to her garden. Her adventurous spirit and appreciation for beauty left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
She is survived by her children, Chris Brown (Christine Brown) and Kim Borden (Gregory Borden), and her five grandchildren, Tyler Borden, Paige Borden, Matthew Brown, Daniel Brown and Mallory Brown. She was preceded in death by her husband, Klaus Schultz. A memorial service will be held this spring at Grace Chapel in the Deerfield Retirement Community, with details to follow.
