Steven Daniel Fitzgerald

It is with deep sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Steven Daniel Fitzgerald, who was found deceased on Sunday, April 12th, 2026, in Hendersonville, North Carolina. He was born on January 24th, 1988, in Bradenton, Florida.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Suzanne and Daniel Fitzgerald.

He is survived by his beloved son, Phoenix; his wife, Jessica; his mother-in-law, Melanie Hensley; his sisters, Nicole Fitzgerald and Johanna Kistler; and his nieces and nephews, Marin Kister, Corbin Ritchey, and Miles and Piper Marrs; as well as his Aunts, Uncles, and many cousins.

Steve was a proud small business owner and a master of his trade in HVAC. He took great pride in working with his hands and was known for his skill set and ability to fix just about anything.

He had a deep love for music and movies, passions that brought him joy and comfort throughout his life. He also had a passion for riding motorcycles and shared his love of skateboarding with his son. Above all, he found his greatest happiness in being a father - coaching his son in little league and continuing to cheer him on at his baseball games, always with pride and unwavering support.

He will be remembered for his love of family, his hardworking spirit, and the many ways he showed up for those around him. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in support of his son, Phoenix, who will be attending East Tennessee State University in the Fall, or to a charity of your choice. Donations may be made privately to Phoenix or through a GoFundMe, which has been set up and will be shared on his dad's Facebook Page.
