Tammy Rene Hyatt

Tammy Rene Hyatt, 56, of Asheville, NC, passed away Monday, February 2, 2026 at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. Born Saturday, March 29, 1969 in Asheville, NC, she was the daughter of Helen Louise Hyatt of Arden, NC, and the late Robert Theodore Hyatt. In 1987, she graduated from T.C. Robertson High School. She was a previously employed by Cross Canvas in Swannanoa, Nc for 25 years; after which she worked for a few years with the Child Care Network where she loved caring for the babies. In 2008, she proudly helped register voters for the Democratic Party. Of her many enjoyments in life, dancing (especially clogging), sewing, casting a line for the big one, and working with children were among her favorites. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a son, Zachary Medford, and brother, Sammy Hyatt. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her fiancé, Rome Nesbitt; daughter, Brittany McGraw; and grandchildren, Aidan Sullivan, Eli, and Gavin Weatherman. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
