Teresa “Terry” Margaret Bradley, aged 71, of Asheville, NC, passed away August 10, 2023.
Terry was born on February 26, 1952 in Beverly, MA to the late William Edward Bradley and Margarita Josephina O’Brien. In addition to her parents, Terry was preceded in death by her grandsons, William Edward Gibbs and O’Brien Gibbs.
In 1972, she graduated with a Certificate in Radiologic Technology from Memorial Mission School of Radiologic Technology. Throughout her career, she practiced as a Radiologic Technologist and Medical Sonographer and briefly as a Nuclear Medical Technologist while stationed in Panama. Her career culminated as an Ultrasound Sales And Technical Specialist for General Electric in their Imaging Division.
Terry was nationally certified as a Radiologic Technologist from the American Registry of Radiologic Technology and in Diagnostic Medical Sonography by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography. She held professional memberships in both modalities.
Terry loved to gather with family and friends, for a meal, to play MahJong, celebrate holidays or to go on shopping adventures to add to her shoe collection. She was a talented and active crafter and loved to crochet, knit and bead. She celebrated and loved to research her Irish and English roots. It’s worth noting that throughout her life she had an uncanny knack for finding four leaf clovers and it became her symbol. Terry loved her Welsh Corgi dogs. She rescued her most recent gal, Katie, and was a strong supporter of animal rescue.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 30 years, Alan Goozner; son, John (Liza) Christopher Gibbs of Fletcher, NC; siblings, Marian (Richard) Bradley Holt of Charlotte, NC and William (Susi) Scott Bradley of Moore, SC; grandchildren, Henry Gibbs of Burnsville, NC and Tia Laws of Lawrenceville, GA; nieces and nephew, Sarah (Aaron) H. Holt of Pittsboro, NC, Aisling M. Holt of Chicago, IL, and Paul Alex Bradley of New York, NY.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
