Terran Oakley Martin of Asheville, North Carolina, passed away from the physical realm January 9, 2021, at the age of twenty-four.
Terran was born to Debra (Debi) Jean Golembieski and Sean Ashton Martin July 2, 1996 in Crossnore, North Carolina. He grew up in Boone, NC surrounded by a strong, loving community of family-like friends. He graduated from Watauga High School with honors, then attended both Caldwell Community College in Boone and A-B Technical Community College in Asheville.
In addition to his parents, Terran is survived by his siblings, Paxton Q. Martin of Charlotte, NC, and Sylvia M. Martin of Asheville, NC; his grandmothers, Marcia Shaffer of Hendersonville, NC, and Patricia J. Golembieski of Roswell, Georgia, and grandfather Ted J. Golembieski and his wife, Mary Macy of Woodstock, Georgia; Uncle Joe Golembieski, and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins across West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina, Illinois, Indiana, Tennessee, Florida, Maryland, North Dakota, Arizona, Georgia, Maine, Texas and California. His joyful spirit will be sorely missed by his family and many friends.
Terran will be lovingly remembered as a gentle, kind, fun-loving, intelligent, special person. A Celebration of Life will be held in his honor on July 2, 2021 at Mama Mayzie’s land near Boone, North Carolina, as well as an online memorial for those who can't attend in person.
