Theodore was born to Alma Benton Padgett and Charles Julian Padgett in Bluffton, South Carolina, on September 3, 1935. He served in the United States Air Force. He worked for many years at Bildon of Hendersonville and retired from Pardee Hospital also located in Hendersonville. He was a thirty-year resident of Hendersonville, and a member of Hendersonville Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Theodore was a gardener and a fisherman, and raised all different types of animals. He enjoyed watching sports with his grandson.
Theodore was preceded in death by his parents; and by a brother, Marion Padgett, and sister, Louise Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine Biggers Padgett; his son, Richard A. Padgett, and his wife, Dixie, of Hendersonville, North Carolina; two brothers, William Padgett and his wife, Kathy, and Greg Padgett and his wife, Pam, all of Hardeeville, South Carolina; grandson Dalton R. Padgett of Hendersonville, North Carolina; and by numerous dear nieces, nephews and cousins.
A service in Theodore’s honor will be held at three o’clock the afternoon of July 18th at Hendersonville Seventh-Day Adventist Church (2301 Asheville Hwy, Hendersonville, NC 28791) with visitation beginning at 2:30 pm.
