Theodore ''Ted'' Lester King

Theodore Lester King, aged 77, of Mills River, NC, passed away July 3, 2024, in Mills River, NC.

Ted was born May 20, 1947, in Brevard, NC, to the late Theron King and Kathryn King. He served proudly in the Vietnam War and later worked for and retired from Wilsonart. Ted enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, working with his tractor, and mowing grass.

In addition to his parents, Ted is preceded in passing by his brother, JB King.

Ted is survived by his children, Toni (Jason) Hill of Mills River, NC, Karen King of Mills River, NC, Franklin (Patty) King of Horse Shoe, NC; grandchildren, Alessandrea King of Mills River, NC, Kendrick McClain of Mills River, NC, Garrett Hill of Mills River, NC, Sage Hill of Mills River, NC, Kyla Gibson of Pickens, SC, Emily Leon of Etowah, NC, and Isaiah Huerta of Horse Shoe, NC; and nieces, Hannah King of GA, Mandy King of GA, and Stephanie Branham of GA.

A Celebration of Life and Cookout will be held, August 10, 2024, at 4 PM, at 1810 Turnpike Road, Mills River, NC 28759.
