Timothy Odell “Tim” Lindsey, age fifty-nine, died Thursday, March 11, 2021, at home in Waynesville, North Carolina.
Tim was born October 4, 1961, to Wanda Lynn Turner Lindsey and Roy Fredrick Lindsey in Haywood County, North Carolina. He attended Tuscola High, H.C.C., AB Technical Community College, Cape Fear Community College, and Southwestern Community College. Tim worked in law enforcement, and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. He loved aviation, and was devoted to firearm safety and education. Tim was an avid reader, a big fan of science fiction. Above all. . . he loved, protected and provided for his family.
Tim is survived by Carol Gay Lindsey, his spouse of thirty-five years; children Timothy F. Lindsey of Tucson, Arizona, Kristie Lindsey of Hendersonville, North Carolina, and Bethany Lindsey of Waynesville, North Carolina; grandchildren Avyrin Lindsey, Zane Packer, Willow Packer, Ayla Packer, Levi Jackson and Mason Robinson; and cousins Vicki Smith, Traci Henline, Jeff Turner, Terry Turner, Robby Burnette, Scott Muse and Joy Muse.
A service was held to honor Tim at three o’clock the afternoon of Sunday, March 14, 2021 at Sulphur Springs Freewill Baptist Church. Preacher Matthew Pressley officiated, and visitation preceded the service.
