Tom Stanley Laster

Tom Stanley Laster, age 82, of Asheville, NC passed away on January 23, 2024 at his home in Asheville.  Tom was born in Asheville, NC on December 13, 1941 to the late Robert S. Laster and Ruby Forester.  Tom graduated and received his diploma from Erwin High School.

Tom was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He worked in wholesale produce for thirty plus years.

Tom is preceded in death by his son, Jeff Laster, and his cousin, Eddy Gaddy.  Tom is survived by his loving spouse of 41 years, Dessie Laster.  He is also survived by his daughter, Kristi Laster, his grandchildren, Randy and Robby, his great-grandchildren, Eli, Aidan, Asia, and Rebecca, his daughter-in-law, Sandy Laster, and his nieces and nephews, Eddy Gaddy, Deanna Gentry, Tim Gentry, Tony Gentry, Kerry Putnam, Tammy Putnam, Kera Putnam, Grant Putnam, William Terrell, Belinda Wells, Yvonne Stillwell, Johnny Stillwell, and Bree Terrell and Art Lehman.  Tom is also survived by an abundance of loving friends.
