Wayne Willard Smith

Wayne Willard Smith, 67, of Asheville, NC, passed away August 14, 2025 in Asheville.

A native of Asheville, NC, Wayne was born on December 17, 1957 to the late Louie Smith and Beulah Smith. He is also preceded in death by his ex-wife, Sheila Smith; brother, George Boston; sister, Carolyn Boston; and niece, Regina Green. Wayne graduated from Asheville High School and then proudly served our country in the US Navy. He enjoyed laughing and joking around with friends and family and loved to cookout and entertain. Wayne also enjoyed watching old black and white western T.V. shows. Surviving Wayne is his daughter, Allison Smith of Asheville, NC; son, Antonne Smith of Asheville, NC; sisters, Vivian Smith, Genevieve Debnam (Lonell), Theresa Bowman, Blanche Smith, all of Asheville, NC; brother, Leonard Moore of Asheville, NC; grandchildren, Eric Beck, Antonne Smith Jr., Areana Cartledge- Smith, Toney Young III, Amarion Smith, all of Asheville, NC; nieces and nephews, Gregory Green (Danette), Randy Bowman (Kita), Zipporah Anderson (Lamar), Theodore Green (Danielle), and Stephanie Smith. A memorial service will be held on September 6, 2025 at 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Friendship Community Center, 142 Shiloh Rd, Asheville, NC 28803.
