William Anderson

William “Dale” Anderson, age 63, a 35-year resident of Asheville, NC passed away on March 6th, 2023 in Asheville, NC.  Dale was born in Hattiesburg, MS on July 24th, 1959 to Muriel Anderson and the late Charles L. Anderson.

Dale attended Hattiesburg Public Schools and then graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a bachelor’s degree.  He was a very avid learner.  Dale enjoyed reading, collecting stamps, and his pets.  He was employed at Ethan Allen Manufacturing Co. in Asheville, NC.  Dale proudly served his country in the Navy as an E4 Petty Officer, third class. He was a member of St John's Episcopal Church, Asheville, NC

In addition to his mother, Dale is survived by his brothers, Mark Alan Anderson (Lori Anderson), of Hattiesburg, MS, and Todd Whitney Anderson (Tiffany Anderson), of Hattiesburg, MS.  He is also survived by his uncle, Winston Veazey (Barbara), of Dallas, TX; nephews, Luke Anderson and John Mark Anderson, both of Hattiesburg, MS; his niece, Sarah Anderson, also of Hattiesburg, MS, and many cousins.

A memorial service and celebration of the life of Dale Anderson will be held at 5 pm on Saturday, March 18, at St John's Episcopal Church, 290 Old Haw Creek Rd in Asheville, 28805.

A graveside service will be held April 1st in Hattiesburg, MS at Highland Cemetery.
