Willie Lee Lindsey

Willie Lee Lindsey, born December 9, 1939, in Asheville, North Carolina, to the late Jack and Bessie Russell Lindsey, has gone home on November 5, 2022, to be with Our God and Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Willie is preceded in death by his brother, Frank Lindsey, son, Willie Lindsey (Susan) and daughter, Jacqueline Logan.

Willie is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years, Joyce Bunn Lindsey; two granddaughters, Jessica Flynn (Gary) and Jasimin Knight; two grandsons, Michael Lindsey and Daniel Lindsey (Monica); sixteen great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; twenty-six nieces and nephews; and special friends.

Willie graduated from Stephens Lee High School where he played football and basketball, and was an avid lover of these sports. He retired from the VA Medical Center after working for over thirty-five years in restaurants. Willie enjoyed life, family and friends. He was always there to brighten the lives of others. He always had a smile on his face, and a joke on his lips.
