I am sorry to be posting this so late, but only now became aware the Mo was gone. I enjoyed knowing him and learning from him during our time together. He was a great gentleman in all the senses of those words. The world is a better place because of him.

Please accept my deepest condolences on your family's loss. Mo and your entire family were treasured neighbors, and I have fond memories of the years we shared as neighbors (including the time that a basketball was cradled in a frozen net on your garage after an ice storm!). Mo was a very special individual who enriched the life of everyone he met. He made a difference in this world during his time here, and I am grateful I had an opportunity to meet him.

May the knowledge that others are thinking of you at this difficult time be a source of comfort, and may Mo's memory always be for a blessing.

Dear Noni, Greg, and Family,

We were deeply saddened to learn of Mo’s passing. Mo was so dear to all of us who had the privilege of knowing him. Admired as a wonderful guide and mentor by so many, he was also highly respected as an accomplished maven of science. He was a worthy role model and a dependable colleague and strong leader for us as “rookie” faculty members. Mo’s optimism and witty (and sometimes wicked) humor were infectious, and he was just an all-around great guy and a good friend. Such virtues are seldom found together, especially in one’s “boss”. He will be deeply missed, but well remembered.

SIncerely,

Alan Townsend and Teven Harmon-Townsend

I miss Mo already. He was a long time friend and colleague and a strong supporter through many a battle.

I'm not sure I have the words to fully express my shock and sadness that I have felt since hearing of Mo's death. My thoughts are with his beloved family during this very difficult time.
