Gary Wayne Jackson, 66, of Leicester, NC passed away at home surrounded by his loving family and friends on March 8, 2017. Born on February 10, 1951 in Clarksville, IN to Corinne B. Jackson Peak and Robert Jackson Jr. Gary was a goldsmith and an artist, painting on canvas with oils and watercolors. He also enjoyed rock hounding.

Gary is preceded in death by his son, Edward T. Smith III and his step-father, Marvin A. Peak.

He leaves behind his longtime partner and soulmate, Amber Edwards, his mother, Corinne B. Peak, his children, Tiffany Jackson Wilson (Jesse) of Leicester, NC; Brianna Edwards of Asheville, NC; Chrysaundra Ramsey (Pete) of Leicester, NC; and Phillip Smith of Leicester, NC. His siblings, Robert L. Jackson (Karen) of Candler, NC; James D. Jackson (Linda) of Louisville, KY, Steven R. Jackson (Sandra) of Louisville, KY; step-brother, Steven A. Peak (Helen) of Escondido, CA; and step-sister, Barbara Van Schoyck (Greg) of Adairsville, GA.

The family will be receiving friends at the home on Sunday, March 19, 2017, starting at 2:00 PM.
