Edith Lenora Johnson, 70 of Arden, NC passed peacefully on January 10, 2017. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Fred Johnson. She is survived by her son, Terence Gates, and daughter Erica Gates; her two brothers, Robert and Maurice, and one sister, Janice. Ms. Johnson leaves behind six grandchildren; Erika, Terrell, Fat, Brandon, Terence II, and Myrakle. She also has four Great Grandchildren.

Edith was known as a mother, wife, and dedicated granny to her grandchildren. She was known for devotion to her church. Edith was always willing to make family and friends laugh with a joke. Even though she had bad eyesight, she could see the good in each person that knew her. May God, who called her home, reunite her with her husband Fred and live in eternal happiness. She will be deeply missed by her loving family and friends.
