James Lionel Ferguson III, 39, of Marion passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 16, 2014.
A native of McDowell County, he was the son of Gracie Ferguson of Marion and the late James Lionel Ferguson Jr.  Surviving are his children, Kaylee Starr Ferguson of Marion, Silas E. Walker of Old Fort, and Chance Lionel Ferguson of Marion; sister, Dawn Ferguson of Bristol, TN; niece, Danielle Buckner of Bristol, TN, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 7 PM on Friday, August 22, 2014 at Catawba Heights Baptist Church of which he was a member.  A reception will follow the service.  
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Catawba Heights Baptist Church, Fellowship Hall Fund, 211 Miller Avenue, Marion, NC 28752.
