I'll miss my creasy-digging neighbor. She loved to cook up a pot of them. Leona always had some good eating at her house or would fix you something in a jiffy to give you comfort. Leona could build anything; a deck, a shed... she defined "country woman" for me and the fact that she lovingly and patiently took care of her husband, Bud, for six long years is a testament to her faith. She loved Christmas so I'm so glad she got to have her beautiful white tree up one last time and that the family didn't take it down. Rest in peace, kind one.
