William Tarcisius Constable III, 56, of Spruce Pine, NC passed away peacefully at Blue Ridge Regional Hospital on Saturday, August 22, 2015 surrounded by his family.

Billy was a world renowned musician playing professionally from age 14 with the country's finest Bluegrass bands. He inspired untold numbers of musicians young and old to reach their fullest potential while holding true to the purest form of the traditions of Bluegrass music.

Billy was preceded in death by his father William Tarcisius Constable Jr and his younger brother, Stephen Kent Constable. He is survived by his mother, Lois Annette Wiseman Touchette, brother, Andrew Constable of Elkton, VA, and sisters Dertrina Constable Kofroth (Crystal) of Taylorsville, NC, and Valerie Constable of Spruce Pine, NC.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at Pine Grove United Methodist Church, 53 Pine Grove Rd. Spruce Pine, NC 28777. Pastor Ken Anderson will be officiating the service and flowers may be sent directly to the church. Friends may call at the home.
